Technology Product Management for Gender-Based Violence

During the 11.5-month period of the contract, the Consultant will field and global-level GBV practitioners, technology vendor(s), UNICEF Country and Regional Offices, the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) as well as the Office of Innovations at UNICEF New York Headquarters to:

Conduct an assessment of the in-country needs for new eRPW app iterations. Support in-country consultations with service providers on specifications and requirements.
Conduct Market research and digital landscape overview, including an assessment of the existing apps and platforms available in countries.
Providing technical support, including training, and support of user research consultants in new countries.
In collaboration with local and global level GBV practitioners lead on user engagement and translation into tech requirements (incl user personas, master story list, UX/UI, etc.).
Support in-country consultations with GBV actors (through the GBV Working Group/sub-cluster) on specifications and requirements. Support contracting vendors in line with UNICEF policy and regulations.
Ensure communication between UNICEF team and the vendor in order to engage participating pilot countries during app development, testing, adjustments, etc.
Support user testing for future iterations
Lead the testing & ironing out of bugs to finalize the technical prototype. Make adjustments as needed.
Track quality and compliance assurance with UNICEF security and data privacy guidelines, and digital principles.
Support maintenance and enhancements as required.
Build in feedback mechanism for next iteration of eRPW app.
Develop roll-out plan for other countries interested in introducing the Referral pathways platform/app.
Develop documentation on lessons learned to increase efficiency and streamline processes for future roll outs
